Poems

broken buttercreams and dreams

Broken butter creams–

And dreams

Fantasies made of cake

Spires of gumdrop and bittersweet twirls

Bleeding red with heartbreak

Digging your nails into a flower

Asking it’s petals for a lie

Poking your pins deep into my skin

Like jelly roll tears when I cry

Shiny crystal wings clipped back on a string

Needles thread through broken buttercream seems

Like a magnet that can’t help but cling

pretty pins

Pretty little pinching pin, that i wish to be

a pretty blank pin. empty pin. dances down the thread. balancing

finds her thread.

The pretty pin

full of purpose,

for what she lived for,

dancing pretty pins.

Pretty pins,

that I wished to be

like the stars, singing away

as they dance

a lullaby, a stitch

Stitched me in

oh how I

wish 2 be

a pretty little pin
